The induction heater of an electric heater is a conductor

The object heated by induction must be a conductor. When the high-frequency alternating current passes through the conductor, the conductor produces a skin effect, that is, the current density on the surface of the conductor is large, and the current density in the center of the conductor is small.

Induction heating can uniformly heat the entire surface of the object and surface heating; it can smelt metal; in the high frequency band, it can change the shape of the heating coil (also known as the inductor) and can also perform arbitrary local heating.
