The function of the injection mold thermostat is to heat the mold and maintain its working temperature, ensure the stability of the quality of the injection molding parts and optimize the processing time. In the injection molding industry, mold temperature plays a decisive role in the quality and injection time of injection molding parts. Injection mold temperature machine is divided into oil mold temperature machine and water mold temperature machine according to heat carrier.
Injection mold temperature machine
1. Heat balance control of injection mold The heat transfer of injection molding machine and mold is the key to the production of injection molding parts. Inside the mold, the heat brought by plastics (such as thermoplastics) is transferred to the material and the steel of the mold through thermal radiation, and to the heat-conducting fluid through convection. In addition, heat is transferred to the atmosphere and mold base through thermal radiation. The heat absorbed by the heat conduction fluid is taken away by the mold temperature machine. The heat balance of the mold can be described as P=Pm - Ps. Where, P is the heat taken away by the injection mold heater; Pm is the heat introduced by plastic; Ps is the heat emitted by the mold to the atmosphere.
2. The purpose of controlling mold temperature and the influence of mold temperature on injection molding parts. In the injection molding process, the main purpose of controlling mold temperature is to heat the mold to the working temperature, and the second is to keep the mold temperature constant at the working temperature. If the above two points are successful, the cycle time can be optimized to ensure the stable and high quality of injection molding parts. Mold temperature will affect surface quality, fluidity, shrinkage, injection cycle and deformation. Excessive or insufficient mold temperature will have different effects on different materials. For thermoplastics, higher mold temperature will generally improve surface quality and fluidity, but will prolong cooling time and injection cycle. A lower mold temperature will reduce the shrinkage in the mold, but will increase the shrinkage of the injection molded parts after demoulding. For thermosetting plastics, a higher mold temperature will usually reduce the cycle time, and the time is determined by the time required for parts to cool. In addition, in plastic processing, higher mold temperature will also reduce the plasticizing time and the number of cycles.
Safe operation method of water mold heater:
1. Open the valves to the mold and cooling water according to the marks on the mold temperature machine;
2. Check whether the inlet and outlet valves of the mold temperature machine are open
3. According to the marks on the mold temperature machine and the structure of the mold water channel, connect the Teflon pipe to the mold, and the redundant inlet and outlet circuits on the mold temperature machine need to be short-circuited for self-circulation;
4. Turn on the three-phase power supply on the injection mold thermostat;
5. Start the pump switch. After the self-test of the temperature control meter, please set the control temperature according to the following steps:
A. Press SET key to set SV flash;
B. Press the up, down, left and right keys to set the required temperature, and then press the SET key to recover; Note: PV is the actual operating temperature value. The parameters in the instrument are set before leaving the factory. Do not change the parameters set in the instrument without permission;
6. Start the heating switch, discharge the gas in the mold water channel and the link pipe, and then the heating can be automatically heated to the set temperature, automatically adjust the temperature, and keep the temperature constant;
7. When stopping the machine to disassemble the mold, turn off the heating switch first, and first reduce the set temperature to a certain temperature;
8. During oil suction, after the oil temperature drops to a safe temperature, please suck the oil in the mold cavity back as follows:
A. Connect the power supply of the water mold heater;
B. Manually press the pump switch (green button on the equipment), and observe the oil gauge of the mold temperature machine at the same time to prevent the oil tank from overflowing. If the oil tank is too full, the oil in the mold temperature machine should be collected to a special oil tank.
C. After oil absorption, remove the Teflon tube on the mold and place it in order to prevent oil leakage.
9. Turn off the power switch after the injection mold heater is finished.
